I have been over my c;omputer top and bottom, for a feww weeks i have had my enternet just disconnect and then reconnect for no reason. after some updates and backups and cleaning i thought i got it to stop. then just in the last few days realized the the disconnecting is still happening, a lot faster to the point that i didnt notice until i was video chatting.

Network adapter up to date, i mean just everything i can searched and could think of ( have no idea what i am doing here) i just cant get it to stay connected

Follow these steps.

1. Run the troubleshooter for finding/fixing/repairing this problem. This often works.

2. If that doesn't work, reboot your modem, after it completely reboots (which will take several minutes), reboot wireless router if you have one.

Post back and see if that works.

I had a similar problem with a friend's home setup. Turned out the router was starting to die out. Replaced it and the problem was solved. I believe your problem is going to be hardware related rather than software.

i have done thatband more, i have checked if my diver was up to date, all systems, virus/malware/adware scaned, rebot of both the modem and the computer, i have searched online and folowed everything i coukd find. i am at a brick wall and its stil hapened every few mins

i have thougt of that... i am going to cal my service provider monday and see what they say. i hope its hardware, only thing is i have tried difrent ethernet cords and the other desk top doesnt have these isues.....

If you have a second computer on your network that is not experiencing these problems, then it should not be the router/modem. You may want to look into replacing the network interface card first. Do you notice the disconnects more often during any particular time of the day or when you are using specific applications? And how long do the disconnects usually last?

I have had this happen to me before with my laptop. Nothing I could do would fix it. I took it out, connected to another network, and when I came home the stupid thing connected to my home network and I never had a problem since. I never knew what the problem was.
