[SOLVED] The CPU light on my mobo is red

I have corsair vengeance LPX ddr4 2666MHz (2x4gb) and my pc works fine however when i swapped it for a corsair vengeance LPX 3000MHz (2x8gb) a red cpu light comes on my motherboard and i've put my ram in the slot that i was told to. The PC works fine with my old ram but not with my new one.
AMD ryzen 5 3600
gigabyte geforce gtx 1660
B450 gaming pro carbon ac
Please can i get some assistance and thank you in advance.

What version of bios? AMD Ryzen requires a final version of bios that isn't a beta. MSI beta bios will typically say beta in the name of the bios. If you can reflash your bios to the most up-to-date final version, this should solve your problem. I would also remove the cmos battery for about 10 minutes to reset the cmos before flashing.

Also did you verify that the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz ram has passed MSI's QVL for the B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard?

HI thanks for your assistance, its fine now. All I had to do was change the frequency of my ram on my bios to 3000mhz but thanks for you help
