The date at the end of BIOS Version.

If you type in systeminfo.exe in the cmd promt, does the BIOS version mean the date of purchase?
It says American Megatrends 3/19/2014 for me

No. That means when the BIOS chip was produced and loaded with a BIOS. Depending on the brand, this can be done before or after it's attached to the motherboard.

Either way, it's done way before the board is to be sold.

So is there any way to know the date which the computer had its first start from this? I recently restored my desktop so it shows the date on which i restored the desktop on the Original Install Date

i wouldn't think so. some parts like motherboards could have been made a year before the computer was built.

is the computer a brand name/prebuilt or custom built?
