I've attached to the Dell U2414H display the Dell E6410 laptop via display port, using the DP->DP and D->miniDP display port cables.
I've used the two cables (DP->DP, DP->miniDP) provided with the Dell U2414H display, and a DP->DP cable from my work.
As well I've updated the E6410 video drivers.
The display isn't detected by the laptop.
What might be the problem ?

Thanks

Did you select the Dp as the "Source" in the monitors settings? Press up or down arrows to cycle thru the various inputs.

Your laptop may need you to press a function key combo, such as Fn and F4 at the same time, to get it to display on an external monitor. Check your manual if you cant indentify the symbol for that feature (usually written in blue on your keybd)

Your laptop came with 2 screen options, if you have the 1440x900 display then that resolution is not supported by the monitor, try changing to 720p

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head
