Hi, my laptop HP Zbook 15 G2 is having a problem. I screwed the bracket screws (total 3) in and unfortunately one of the screws, does not seem to go in. Not sure if it might be something that is blocking it from securing. Or the screw is defective.

I took some pictures for your reference.

Looking forward for your advice.

Compare the screw that does not go in to one of the screws that does go in.

If the failing screw is different or damaged that could be part of the problem.

The other part of the problem is that the threading in the host connection point has been damaged.

You may be able to determine that by very carefully trying to screw in one of the other "working" screws without the bracket in place.

Ensure that you are using a screwdriver that fully and correctly matches the screw head.

If the screw does not go smoothly in - stop. You do not want to cause more damage.

Post what you find.
