So basically, whenever i install the Geforce experience, it wont install and gives the message "Nvidia installer failed". I looked around the internet and manually downloaded the drivers for my GT 730 (yeah you heard that right).

So the 300 something mb file downloaded and when i install it, the filex extract to a folder on C and the "Checking for compability begins".

After a while it abruptly pauses by a messages that goes by the lines of "Could Not find compatible graphics hardware".

Now i searched through some forums and found out that i needed to configure some files on the folder that the driver application extracted but when the installation stops, the folder is deleted automatically.

Been in this doldrums for quite some time now, i even downgraded from win 10 to 8.1 which installed and regularly updated the drivers flawlessly from geforce experience and now it wont even install the drivers. Thanks in advance everyone. Would really really appreciate a solution. Thanks

Are you having a prebuilt OEM system ? Just make sure you are installing the GAME ready drivers/GRD, and not the Creator version/CRD. Also, there are 2 driver types, DCH and Standard. Which one did you install ?

By the way, DCH drivers cannot be installed over Standard Drivers, and Standard Drivers cannot be installed over DCH Drivers. The choice must be made after a cleaning via DDU.

To check which display driver type you need, right-click over the Windows desktop -> select NVIDIA Control Panel -> click on the System Information link on the bottom left hand corner of the NVIDIA Control Panel -> look at text that follows “Driver Type”. You should see one of the following : DCH or Standard, assuming you are able to install the drivers.

Just make sure you are installing the correct driver version as well, i.e 64-bit if using a 64-bit OS, and not 32-bit.

The Nvidia control panel doesn't even show up. Now what I basically did is downloaded the driversfrom driver easy and don't even know what version it downloaded . Is there a way to check ? At least the screen is at full resolution now. And I did download the 64 bit ver for 64 bit win 8.1 pro but the installation of both , the driver alone and Geforce experience fails. My oh my I am in deep stuff
