Hello,
I'm getting this error whenever I try to open PDF files with Reader from my Documents folder:
The exception Illegal Instruction
An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction.
(0xc000001d) occured in the application at location 0xa14a7100

Click on OK to terminate the program

I can open over types of files in my Documents folder, as well as open Reader, the program that supposedly crash when I try to open files. It affects two different PDF files that I try to open. The PDF files were both Google Docs files I was working on for school and downloaded them to print. I have tried redownloading the file into my Downloads folder (it works when I try to open) and then copying over to my Documents folder and opening, then I get the issue again.

I have also had other errors with "The exception Illegal Instruction" that havn't been at location 0xa14a7100 or in my Documents folder.

Very wierd issue indeed, I can open any other document or file in my Documents file, and I can open the files that couldn't open in my Documents folder anywhere else. I have tried restarting my computer, same issue. Wierdest thing is I can open the PDF with Chrome. just not or Reader. But once again, Explorer and Reader and perfectly fine and I can open them (just not to open this file)

I am panicking a little inside becuase I JUST bought this SSD 30 days ago, and today the RMA period from Fry's expired, so I can't get a replacement one, if I do have a bad drive, I'll have to RMA it to OCZ which'll take weeks. (If this issue is drive related) It's just such a headache becuase I can't seem to stop this freezing my computer is giving me, I used to have KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and freezing, then replaced my RAM and Hard Drive, and now this issue. I'm about to RMA my motherboard, unless this is software (which I sincerely hope)

SMART displays 100% for my drive with no issues, not to mention I JUST got this SSD.

Computer specs:
AMD FX 6300
MSI 970A-G46 motherboard
OCZ VERTEX 460A
8 GB 1866 MHZ RAM
GTX 770 2 GB GDDR5
750 W PSU

UPDATE:
So I uninstalled Reader, and when I was doing it got the same message, slighty different location, but still 0xa14a---- when I try to reinstall it I get the same message

It may be possible that the compiler that Google Docs isn't compiling the PDF file where Adobe PDF Reader doesn't want to open it properly. I have a few files that I can't open with Adobe, but other PDF Readers open it fine.

What plugin in Chrome are you using to view PDF files?

I'm talking about standard Windows Reader.

I think I'm using the default plugin, don't know the name of it.

I'm don't think this is an issue with Google Docs
