Hello everyone.
Question storm time.

I am having a difficult time deciding on a processor.
I have selected 3 candidates for this build.
The FX-9590, FX-9370, & FX-8370.

I am going to pair this processor with 16GB of 2133MHz RAM and an Radeon R9 290 Graphics unit.
I do not plan to overclock the processor, as the base speed should be sufficient enough for my need.
I would prefer to keep liquid cooling out of my system for now.

I have deducted that the FX-9590 produces too much heat to be cooled by fans.
I am thinking about the FX-9370, but I wonder if it produces too much heat as the FX-9590 would.
I was thinking of using a Cool Master Hyper Series.
I have never used this type of cooler before, so I am unsure of how well they perform.

I have included the FX-8370 as last candidate, for a lower power-consumption option.

Any thoughts?
Recommendations?
I would like some detail with replies.

Thank you,
MrOddlyFox

was noticing the same myself. they must have decided to sell them with no cooler to drop the price some. amd site says they all come with liquid cooling so i'm not sure what the deal is. if you have to get a cooler i'd go with the 8350 and the hyper 212 evo cooler for worry free use. it'll oc fine with that cooler.
the 9*** series all come with liquid cooling as they run VERY hot. my understanding is they are simply oc'ed 8300 series chips. normally i'd suggest the 8350 and say oc it yourself but once you add the cooler into the mix it is cheaper right now to just get the 9370 and use the liquid cooler that comes with it.

you can get away with air cooling on the 8350/70 but from what i have read the 9*** need liquid cooling. amd included it for a reason!! your mobo also needs to support the crazy power needs of the cpu

I've heard that they come with liquid cooling. But looking at the Newegg listings, it doesn't seem that they come with it for some reason.

Yeah, I've noticed with some reading, that the 8370 isn't too far behind the 9590. It will also have a lower TDP, which will allow me to use a standup cooler like I want.

i think it's a good call. look at prices and get one of the 83** chips. pcpartpicker shows the 8320 for 99 and the 8350 for 140. i'd get the 8320 and the 212 evo which is less than the 8350 alone. you can easily oc it to match the 8370 and some. they are all pretty much the same chip anyway just clocked different.
