Ok so i have narrowed my CPU build to these 2 motherboards. Which one should i use? Im new to building so any info on why one would be better than the other would help me when it comes to understanding everthing! Thanks again guys.

Unless you plan to use the additional PCIe slot, I vote Sabertooth also, for the five year warranty. If the company has that much confidence it it, you probably can too.

I was thinking about a Z87 but my friend said that the x79 would better future proof my PC and could fit a chip that has more cores..? Like i said, im new at this and cant tell which one i should use. All im going to do is game and maybe create some videos of my gaming.. is the X79 what i need??

The Hero is a great board, with only one flaw:

Only 3 fan headers (5 total, with CPU and CPU optional fan) Makes the Z87 Sabretooth look a little better, has more headers and they are more logically placed.

But a fan controller solved that for me.

My needs are gaming, thats all i want it for and will probably use it for. is x79 overkill? should i go with the z87? and if i do, lga 1155 vs lga 1150??? i dont know the difference.

I want that Sonic Radar, but apparently Asus is going to add that to [some of] their sound cards, so I'll just get one of those rather than do a whole new build.
