The folder titles on my external hard drive are in green when I open them up with one laptop and I am unable to see my pictures and video. However, when I plug the drive into my other laptop... I can see them fine?? Both laptops are identical Compaq 6910p running Windows 7 with 4 gigs of Ram and 320 gig hard drive ... any clue?

Solution
Green usually indicates encrypted files. You won't be able to view encrypted files on a different computer (that's the whole point of encrypting them). If you attach the drive to the computer they were originally encrypted on you should be able to see them, bring up the properties dialogue by right-click on the folder, and turn off encryption. Once you've done that you should be able to see the files when the drive is connected to the other computer.
