This Cyber Monday I'm looking to build a new PC. My current configuration just isn't enough to play today's games. Here is the build I'm going for.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 Haswell 3.5GHz (3.9GHz turbo) Quad-Core 6000K
CPU FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
MOBO: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600
SSD: PNY XLR8 120GB 2.5" SSD
GPU: GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB WINDFORCE vs. The GeForce GTX 970 4GB
PSU: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (I know it's a little overkill but I want to keep room for upgrades.)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower
Monitor: Asus VS238H-P 23.0" Monitor 1920x1080

My question is, should I get the GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB WINDFORCE or The GeForce GTX 970 4GB. I have heard that the 970 has a significant coil whine, but I use headphones %90 of the time while on the PC. So, should I buy the 780 or the newer 970? BTW, I mainly want to use this machine to game (ARMA 3, Beam NG Drive, Crysis 3 and the soon to be released GTA V.). If you see any problems or incompatibilities with this build please let me know. Thanks!
