the graphic driver could not find compatable graphics hardware

I have "INTEL HD GRAPHICS 4600" in my notebook PC. I want to install NVIDIA GRAPHIC CARD, i am getting error like "the graphic driver could not find compatable graphics hardware".

PLease help me out guys. (i have seen a nvidia geforce sticker on my laptop which is next to processor sticker. So thats the reason i believe i can install nvidia graphic driver.)

Laptop: HP ENVY TOUCHSMART 15t-j100

Thanks for your reply. I tried installing from HP and NVidia website. i am getting same issue both times.

i would check for something in the BIOS. maybe you have to disable the intel graphics in there first

Maybe your model only has HD.
