Every tech forum from here and there have always said "Go for the most powerful Graphics card that's out right now you can afford." Once the dust settled between Pascal V. Polaris and after August, I would have enough money for a GTX 1070...
But I've googled on potential GTX 1000 users playing at 1080p, 60hz and many responders say that the performance of the new cards could screentear the monitor during gameplay. Some of them too recommended just the 970 for normal 1080p settings.
Sure, I've made a stupid choice in buying a $58 Acer S200HQL GBD monitor at a time where 1440p would be hailed as the better screen setting for gaming, but I still want to go for the new cards. So, how can I avoid potential pitfalls using a GTX 1070 with the inferior 1080p/60hz limitations??
To note, I want to play DOOM at 1080p/60fps at Ultra and/or Ultra-Nightmare settings. Every other game, like Killer Instinct or Quantum Break, just at high settings.
