the hdmi connection crapped out on my tv... how do i get my cable to work through my pc??

you want to use your pc for home theater purposes because of the broken hdmi connector, correct? why not get the hdmi fixed? how does the tv signal come into the house via coax, satellite dish or what? laptop or desktop?
