They probably didn't want to deal with the water cooler of the X, plus those AMD GPU's consume a lot more power than the 1080 so they need increased airflow.

The Fury is much slower and nearly the same price so it's not surprising. HP doesn't want to build a variant no one will buy.

What's the Hertz on that monitor?

It's 75hz, but WVA looks like an IPS panel, the colors and angles are amazing. I have the Asus MG279Q, which is just a smaller version of the same panel.
