I remember reading many articles like "pc gaming is over , dying , desktops are gone "" on tomshardware.com. What happened? :)
 
It seems a tad odd that they'd offer the 1080 then eschew the Fury/X.
They probably didn't want to deal with the water cooler of the X, plus those AMD GPU's consume a lot more power than the 1080 so they need increased airflow.
 
This is funny. Three of these new Omen desktops could fit into one of the original VooDoo Omen tower case. Massive!
 


It's 75hz, but WVA looks like an IPS panel, the colors and angles are amazing. I have the Asus MG279Q, which is just a smaller version of the same panel.
