Hello everyone!!!
Well, I'm an amateur engineer and I like constructing things instead of getting them ready. So, I would like to ask a question.
Searching the internet, I have found many adapter cables from ide hdd to usb. However, I can not find the internal wiring of these cables. I would be thankful if anyone could help.

Solution
Adapter's circuit has a chip for that and I doubt it's sold to general public. Your only bet is to get a cheap ready made adapter which you can reuse as much as you want.

Buy one.
Dissect it.

Thanks but each USB cable to which pin(s) of the hard disc socket corresponds?
I forgot to say that it's a desktop (3.5") hard disk drive.

You can't connect straight to HDD, it needs an active adapter. All you can do is get SATA or PATA/IDE to USB adapter and change USB plug to individual pins for USB on the MB. For 3.5" drives you also have to provide power too. 2.5" drives can work of 5v that USB provides but 3.5" drives need 12v too.
May I ask why you want internal HDD to work with USB ?

Well, the HDD comes from a very old computer and it has too small capacity to be used now. I only wanted to take a look at any data remaining and practice on constructing such a cable but from what I see it must be difficult. Do you know where I can find the diagram of the adapter's circuit?
