I need a good card for animating so I was getting this and I was wondering if it can run games too
It most certainly can. The drivers for the Quadro professional graphics cards are based on those of the GeForce consumer graphics cards but lag behind for QA purposes. This means that any bugs that exist in the GeForce drivers with respect to new games will exist in the Quadro drivers for some time until the patches are pulled in.

To my knowledge it should perform quite well. Although not designed to play games, workstation cards are still capable of running, and as the K6000 seems to be an upgraded 6000 it should get more than acceptable performance...

The Quadro 6000 is based on the GTX 470. The Quadro K6000 is a fully function GK110 (Titan) with no SMX units disabled. That makes it the single highest performing single-chip GPU available in the world.
