I was running my computer fine and then all of the sudden, my drive letters changed on me. I was unsure on how to approach this because I know using the disk management panel can screw your computer up if you're stupid with it.

Here's a picture of my drives:

The thing is, I do not have a second cd/dvd drive. The "F:" drive is supposed to be the "Domis Hard Drive". I don't know how this cd drive appeared or why the computer thinks there is one.

go into disk management and right click on your two system reserved partitions. Then 'change drive letter and path' remove them and they wont show. You can use this to re-label drives as well

ok cool. this is all a learning process for me to an extent. Removing the drive letter for the system partition wont screw anything up? the more I think about it, the more it starts to make more sense.

when I was new to building computers, for some reason, I thought that having an operating system on two hard drives was a good idea. I dont know what the hell I was thinking.

Ok thanks for the help there BUT, what of cd drive "F:"

I dont have a second cd drive. If i try to eject it, it gives me an error. if I eject the "D:" drive, it will actually eject so I know that one is the real cd drive. For some reason it randomly appeared.

UPDATE: I restarted my computer like a PROFESSIONAL.
For some reason it fixed my error and the drive does not appear. Lol who know why it was registering an extra cd drive but, oh well. All fixed.
