the light won't stay on when I put in my card reader

card reader red light clicks on, but won't stay on, so computer does not acknowledge... I have gotten it to work one time out of about 20 tries... Any help?

Hi,

Are you using a desktop or a laptop? Also are you using an external card reader or an internal card reader for a laptop?
- Do try to uninstall/reinstall the card reader driver if you're using a laptop.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the card driver.
- Reboot your PC and it should reinstall the driver automatically.

If you're using an external card reader.
- Try the card reader first into a different PC to identify if it's properly working or not.
- Do use a different USB port on your PC that may help.
