I tried my best pressing down the lock that is under the video card and it doesn't seem to go down at all. Is there another way to take the video card out without harming any computer parts.
The lock moves parallel to the motherboard not perpendicular. Even if you break the lock tab, which most of us have done at least once, the slot will continue to work just fine.
As long as the card is locked, you can't remove it without damaging the slot. However, I would like to add that the way lock works depends on motherboard - older models have lock that works in different way.

If I do take the video card out should i use the second pcie slot instead? I have the h170 pc mobo.
