Ordered my Define R4 today and installed my shiny new GTX 760 last week, my AMD modernization plan is nearly complete. The only thing left is I'm going to be swapping out the Corsair TX 750 for an EVGA SuperNova Hex 850W and I'll be adding a liquid cooler (probably NZXT Kraken X60 or Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme) for some maximum overclocking potential. I'll post some pictures of the rebuild when I get the Define R4 (probably Thursday) - should be fun.

I got the Blackout version, it's a truly unbelievable case and worth every penny.

And now to quote Tony Stark - "Welcome to the birthing suite. Presenting the imminent arrival of your bouncing, bad ass baby brother."

I plan to add a EVGA Supernova 850W in a few weeks (because I want a full modular supply and it's one of the best from what I've read) and eventually plan to add an NZXT Kraken X60 or Thermaltake Water 3.0 to do some serious overclocking.

I was eyeing the case until I read about the shipping weight in the specs list on Newegg. I'd have to pay about 10 USD per pound for anything I'd like to ship from the States.

That is a spanking new build G-unit! :) Kudos...

If you're not going on an SLI setup better look towards the NEX650G/750G units, they are fully modular or better yet look into the Platinum rated PSU's from Seasonic or Rosewill.

Since your case allows it, I'd opt out of a AIO cooling unit and dip into custom cooling :)

But that system is fine as is :)

Really the only thing new is the case and GPU - everything else I used from the previous case. And it's a good thing I did this because I found out in my HAF 912 that the motherboard wasn't seated properly and that two of the standoffs that were used were stuck in the motherboard. I had to take a pair of bolt cutters and manually saw through the shredded screws. That was fun.

As far as shipping goes I had free shipping since I live not too far from Newegg's central distribution warehouse on the west coast. I got it for $107 with tax. I definitely plan to get that EVGA SuperNova within the next few weeks, I'll probably wait until my classes are over.

Here's my system now, in the 760t, with the second 780ti. Still haven't found a new monitor yet, but looking. Thinking about adding a PSU cover with some led backlighting, but haven't decided yet.

I saw that and I was seriously tempted to hit the "purchase" button until I saw that it's actually $139 and it has a $30 mail in rebate. I think I'll wait until I see a better deal.

I can't believe how much quieter the Define R4 is compared to my old HAF 912. I hardly know it's on right now.

I didn't order the EVGA supply today (really wanted to) but I also want to get a closed block water cooler like the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme or NZXT Kraken X60 sometime in the next couple months and overclock my FX-8320 to 5GHz or beyond.

You guys, and your Define R4s, and minis! lol

The phantom 410 isn't that bad with noise. The 140mm on the side was making some noise, and a 120mm on the floor. Also been thinking about taking off NZXT fans on the hyper evo heatsink and replacing them with 1 AF120, since I'm not really overclocking and having a problem with heat. Pretty much they're the reason why my heatsink is vibrating.

DS - If you had the option of going with a lower wattage PSU I'd ask you to look into a 650W unit and go for a Fractal Node 304 in white :)

If your PSU fits in the Node 304 then I don't see any reason not to go with it...

I had a hard time deciding between the NZXT H220 and the Define R4. The biggest selling point for the H220 was the separate power supply compartment, but the lack of optical drive support was a huge minus for me. The Define R4 won out because I love the Blackout edition and it fits with the theme I was trying to go for.

So I have plans to build a tiny computer I can take with me on road trips (Hotels lol 😀 ) and if I have any friends who play on PC, I can take it with me. Luckily the GPU and PSU are free, so yay :)

I'm thinking of doing that too based around an Antec ISK-180 and a Intel Core i3 that I have left over from a previous build (going to be upgrading my work PC to X79, and the CPU from that will go in my HTPC). I have most of the parts needed and all I have to buy is a motherboard, case, and HD.

The black R4 kicks so much ass I'm thinking of getting the white R4 for my Intel rig and selling my Graphite 600T.

You came out with your teeth intact  even CorsairGeorge would've had something to say 😛 ... Speaking of CorsairGeorge, There is a new Graphite series case out for launch round June of this year.

One in full tower and another in a mini itx version. I can't find the long removed facebook silhouette pic of the 2 cases side by side but they look to have handles at the bottom of the case similar to the Cosmos case line. The last thing George revealed was that BMW design works USA were involved in the case development project so expect much epic wow 😛

...Then again, the choice of case to build in is totally upto the end user not the company! If I had the opportunity to have clients with deeper pockets, I'd advice on building a couple of systems in a Fractal case. Namely the Node 304 and the R4 Black out edition.
