Apparently the Titan Black, aside from having 6GB of vRAM compared to 3GB, has a few more CUDA cores than the original Titan (2880 vs 2688) and double precision floating point performance which evidently makes it much better than a 780ti for professional apps.

Three 980s costs nearly as much as two Titan Blacks where I live so I wouldn't really save any serious amounts of money by getting three 980s I'm afraid.
Nevertheless, as far as GPUs goes I won't have to decide upon that yet anyway as I will have to make do with my trusty old 580 at least until the end of the year. This build will cost me some serious money even without buying a GPU.

I've more or less decided on getting the Corsair AX1200i now (unless someone here has a good reason why I should not buy it for my build). It's expensive, but I hope it will pay off in the long run. :)

Thanks. I'm guessing this will also run quiter than eg. the AX860i or the HX1000i when drawing the same wattage? Am I correct in assuming this or am I wrong?
Because one of the reasons why I'm choosing the more expensive AX1200i over the HX1000i is that it apparently generates less heat and so is running quiter at the same loads. Is this correct?

That's what I hoped for. Thanks. :D

I was even considering for a while to buy the AX1500i in the hope of making it run even quieter (apparently the fan doesn't even kick in until it hits 450W load), but surprisingly it's too long (225mm) to fit into my casing which only supports PSUs up to 200mm. Maybe that's a good thing though because the AX1500i is ridiculously expensive. So I'll settle with the AX1200i which is more than expensive enough.

Soaking your fans in water?? Make sure you reapply grease to them. I'm just here between a gt 630 and onboard graphics depending on whether or not I want silence or gaming performance. I'm finally ordering my mechanical keyboard today, followed by a graphics card sooner or later.

Any recommendations? I'm looking for blues/browns between 70-95ish dollars. Amazon only (gift cards), and I finally collected enough!! I might also get an extended mouse pad to go under the keyboard. Are these any good?

I will go used like new or very good if from amazon wearhouse deals.

I keep mulling it over. How fast does it really need to be though? Couldn't you be set with a 5820K and one high end GPU?

I guess if it's for work though it becomes a tool, so if the work load is profitable enough the cost of the machine becomes less significant. One could argue that I could buy Lowe's or Home Depot's house brand of tools, but I know they aren't good enough for the longevity of my work load so I spring for the Hitachi, Makita, Milwaukee, etc.

Does anybody here have expirence with blues? I really don't want crazy loud keys, and I really like the idea of the tactile bump in the brown version. The browns seems like a very good bet, 84$ used, and its thankfully not 10key less (It's gonna be on my desk or in my new backpack) and it has a detachable cable. I also love the color scheme! I think I found my keyboard, i'm getting the browns

CoolMax makes 1200watt PSUs? Woah, that a company who has determination lol

I ordered a rosewill helios with mx blacks for only $68 used very good from amazowarehousedeals and an asus rog backpack (was in need of a backpack) We had been discussing what to get since before November, so we just combined our giftcards and ordered from his account. I wanted the tactile bump, but through further research, I like blacks and huge upgrade into the world of keyboards anyway.
