ask him if he means 990fx, which is amd.

if he says yes then laugh at him some more since it still doesn't work.

Last night was pretty odd. My 770 was acting up, I was thinking that the overclock I tried on core damaged the card. If I put load to the card, the display stops working, the monitor says no video input, and the fans on the 770 spin at 100%

After a hour of testing different games, GPU stress with MSI kombustor, different drivers, and re-sitting the card, the blame was the power cable. I used one of those 1 to 2 2+6 pin cables to power the card. Swapped it out for 2 cables instead, and the card works just fine now. I was actually pretty excited to upgrade my card, to some like a R9 390x.

The cable actually had a hard time coming out from my AX760. After a while, it came out, but one of the plastic covers for the pins actually broke off. It's inside the psu cable connector. Now I'm considering the PSU to a problem with the plastic inside of the connector.

My wife would be angry at me if I bought her expensive gifts. I am getting her a couple of decent-sized gift cards though for her project stuff; one for JoAnn Fabrics and another for Lowe's. Since I got them through deals available in my Market America business, I was able to get them with 9-10% discounts.

Yeah, most likely, it's the cable going bad. But wow, the H440 is a pain to work with if it's something with the power supply. I had to remove all the cables to get access to unit. Threw the cable in the garbage, nothing to worry about.

I think it wasn't drawing enough power for the card from what I looked online.

Can never have enough dress socks... For ACADEC, if you wear black sport socks or heavens forbid, white socks with your suit... Donations to ACADEC are made...

Star Wars was a fantastic movie. Saw it last night and was absolutely incredible. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that character development is done very well and the usage of practical effects enhances it (unlike that horrible CGI in the prequels). CGI of course is still used but is 2015 and is a lot better than the previous trilogy. Not once in the movie did I notice any CGI at all - mostly because I was so immersed in the film itself.
