So i have tourettes for basically all of my life and its been hell for the past couple of years, my passion is gaming and i built my own rig a couple years back, i have a beat up keybored that works great a monitor and a mouse that i need to replace every 2 weeks

My tourette's cause me to repeatedly slam his mouse down, often breaking the mouse. My question is, is there a mouse that I can invest in that will last long, and be durable for me? One that won't break upon being slammed on the mouse pad. I have towels under the mouse pad to absorb most of the shock, upon being slammed upon.

any sugestions?(Please do not recommend a trackball i will result to that last.)

there are mice with metal exteriors which are durable but what i would imagine breaking would be the electronic components inside.

you could try an industrial use mouse such as the ones used in hospitals and other high demand places which are waterproof and more impact resistant. example http://www.man-machine.com/product-category/waterproof-keyboard-experts/

probably the best thing is to get a trackball (industrial is better) and bolt it to the table so it cant move.

I doubt they make a mouse that will stand up to being hit when using it, even the high quality mice are not made to stand up to being thrown against things, which is basically what you are doing when "slamming" it down. Durable means that the click actions and the construction is done to tight tolerances and will good parts, that that it won't come apart during impact. Probably the mouse that I find has the most sturdy feel of the ones I tried, is the Logitech MX, although it's a bit pricey to experiment with.
