I would like the default for "My Documents" under "My PC" to direct to the **local** offline documents, since some stuff I don't need to upload to my OneDrive and only need it locally and don't want to use up OneDrive space.

My Documents directs to C://Users/myname/onedrive/documents

I would like it to just simply direct to C://Users/myname/documents

However when I try to change the directory it says "Can't move the folder because there is a folder n the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied."

Please help me, on my other PC that I built myself I have my OneDrive and local documents separate and it works fine. Very frustrating.

Solution
Solved it on my own.

Under OneDrive settings, it had "Auto Save" for Documents set to OneDrive.

I changed this to My PC.

Now I have easy access to my OneDrive documents under the onedrive folder as well as my offline documents under My PC.

Hopefully someone in the future sees this.

OneDrive is very forgiving and easy to work with. I just love it. When you subscribe to Office 365, you get 1TB of space there for each account, I get the 5 user family plan for 99 per year. every user gets 1TB of space and Office on up to 5 devices each account.

OneDrive is awesome if you play on Xbox Live because you can keep all your music in OneDrive and listen to it when you play any game with Groove. You can also back up all your DVD and BluRay there with that kind of space. I do.

I use OneDrive frequently and have a few gigabytes on it. I understand how powerful it is and I've used it for everything from intro undergrad studies to scientific research to pharmacy school. But I just like to keep my OneDrive documents separate and easily accessible along with my offline documents, since i don't want everything to go to onedrive. I already found the solution and changed the autosave function under OneDrive to "My PC."

Thank you though
