The new GTX1080 with ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 Mobo

Currently I have an EVGA GTX980-SC ACX2.0 in my mobo, and I'm sure the GTX1080 will work fine it, but will using an older Z97 board with the GTX1080 limit the new GPU?
Are there interface bandwidth limitations or speed limitations with that Mobo that will truncate the power/speed of the newer GPU or is that mobo strong/current enough to handle all the specs of the new GTX1080 GPU?

That board is still plenty strong for the newer cards coming out.

you will have absolutely 0 problems getting the most out of new cards. it's all good
