The pc is on yet the screen shows no signal

I am trying to instal windows 10 and when I turn on the pc the screen says no signal even though it is conected. The screed is connected to the motherboard via a hdmi cable and the motherboard is from Gigabyte. Any idras on how to fix this?

I have a amd 1600x with a gtx 590 and a gigabyte A320M-H and 8 gigabytes of ram

You need to connect the monitor to the graphics card HDMI , the 1600x has no graphics integrated so IT WON'T WORK TO USE THE BOARDS HDMI.
