The PSU is creating sound

The PSU is creating sound and the fan slows down. Right now it is creating sound but the fan is rotating properly [at least looks like it is rotating properly]. Occasionally it creates sound like water is moving through a pipeline.

If I hit the device, the sound disappears for sometime, and then returns again. I know I shouldn't do that.

Dust in the fan mechanism?

Someone suggested giving it fluid of some sort [for PSU fan], to get it clean. Will that work?

What should I do?

Solution
i would try getting a can of compressed air and blow some into the PSU while powered off to loosen up dust in it to see if that does anything. iff you are going to do this see if you can keep the fan from spinning but do NOT try to open it because you could shock yourself

Very likely the fan is failing, that PSU is a cheap piece of junk. I HIGHLY recommend replacing it.

If you need a good value PSU the Corsair CX450M is a great choice.

That is definitely what I'd do anyway. Corsair is the choice if I don't get seasonic available. I'll look into the suggested one.

I'll take it to the shop and will do that.
Did you mean to turn the PSU on and keep the fan off from revolving?

what i meant was see if you can hold the fan to keep it from spinning while blowing air into it. the fan may be damaged if it starts to spin faster then it was designed for. if not then i is no big deal anyway

oh I see, ok
