Kinda of an odd question. Definetly Nvidia. Although Nvidia's had a lot of problems with lying, and cheating and being dishonest, there vid cards up to and inclucing the geforce 4 TI were excellent cards. Their fx line, is well, to put it gently, crap. However, even the fx line is WAY better than onboard.

As each day goes by, I hug my 9600Pro just a little tighter.

Onboard video? *cough*

It sounds as if you have no choice but had to settle for Nvidia's nearest and lowest rival, which is onboard video when it can't even complete with ATI?

It depends on whether the NVidia cards are OPTIMIZED!!!

Umm OK.

Just as my Radeon 9800 is OPTIMIZED?

fanATICs are getting out of control around here.

Athlon 1700+, Epox 8RDA (NForce2), Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 80GB 8MB cache, 2x256mb Crucial PC2100 in Dual DDR, Radeon 9800NP, Audigy, Z560s, MX500

No kidding... I mean come on guys, it's obvious that ATi wins this round, but you can't realistically compare onboard video to a tried and true high end card, crappy as though it may be.

nVidia cheated on me so I left her for ATi. ATi's hotter anyway...

I have to point at the lack of humor here. It was clearly an attempt to make a hyperbole.

Yeah. Basically if you couldnt get an ATI, Nvidia is still your next best choice.

But comparing onboard to NV is a nice low-blow smear campaign that I shouldnt have put past the fanboys at THGC.

Are you kidding? Intel Extreme Graphics slaughterz all! Don't listen to those add-in card fanatics. Tom's hiding the REAL benchmarks becuase he knows how pissed all of you would be when your ATI/nVidia cards gets trampled by the inexpensive integrated Intel Extreme chip.

My OS features preemptive multitasking, a fully interactive command line, & support for 640K of RAM!

Well nVidia would win either way. They've got the best onbaord graphics out there or at least until ATI bring out their new one.
