hey guys i've just got my 2TB Seagate Barracuda, i installed it and i used an old sata cable, then booted my PC. When i try to initialize that HDD this error pops up:
"The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"

I changed the sata cables with my old seagate hdd and it's still working, but the new one isn't and i don't know why ? please help

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What/which SATA port are you using?

Check the motherboard's User Guide/Manual to verify the current SATA configuration. You may be connecting to a SATA port that is already assigned or otherwise unavailable because a M.2 drive is installed.

Will the 2 TB Seagate Barracuda drive work on another known working computer?
