Hi lads. I am a beginner. I want to build a gaming pc. this is my spec:
CPU: Intel core i5 4440 3.1Ghz
Ram: 8gb Corsair
GPU: Gigabyte gtx 760
PSU: FSP Raider 550W
Storage: 120gb SSD for OS, 1TB black WD for storage
I am looking for a motherboard that will work good with this build and I wonder if the Asrock fatal1ty B85 Killer or Asrock fatal1ty Z87 Killer will work good for my build or not? which one should I get? thank you very much

are you be planning on upgrading your CPU to an unlocked CPU in the future? if not, then B85 would suffice.

All 1150 motherboards will work with your components but if you want SLI your card later you have to buy Z87 motherboard with SLI capability and 650W PSU, if you don't plan on SLI you can get whichever B85 or H87 chipset motherboard!

I just use 1 gpu and I will use that spec for like 2 or 3 years. so I should get the Asrock fatal1ty B85 Killer right? Should I buy a sound card for better experience with game and music? can you tell me what is the different between chasis fan connector and power fan connector on the motherboard?

no , you will barely notice the difference. a good speaker/headset will be enough for better experience.

power fan connectors are intended for to be connected to a fan inside or attached to a power supply. chassis fan connector are intended to be used with chassis fans inside your case. Since most power supplies come with sufficient fans built in, you don't need to connect these fans to a power supply but you can use them as additional chassis fan connectors

Should I use gigabyte or Asrock? Cause I hear that Asrock has a worst warranty system. I already bought a Gigabyte H81M-DS2 but I hear that the B85 chipset is work better for core i5.

b85 motherboards are a bit better than h81.
how much will you be getting the asrock? why not asus? they have good warranty for their motherboards. id recommend asus b85 vanguard for example. one of their TUF motherboards with 5years warranty.

I read the spec of the B85 vanguard and it's says that the motherboard has 1 usb 3.0 header but supports additional 2 USB 3.0 port, what does that mean? and what is a com port connector?

the motherboard only has 1 usb 3.0 connector. if you only have one connector, that connector can have 1 or more usb slots connected to it. im not really sure though. but thats the only way i can explain it 😀
