Hey guys. There is a bit of info before my question regarding the specs I'm looking at. I am building a PC and have a question about RAM and my motherboard. I have chosen RAM which is clocked at 1866 MHz. It is G.Skill sniper series and the model number for those interested is: F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR. My motherboard I have chosen is an Intel Z77 board by Biostar, and its a TZ77B. Now my question is, on Newegg, my motherboard says it supports 1866(O.C.) RAM. I know that means overclocked but I would like to know if this board will work with my RAM or if I need to choose different RAM.

By the way my motherboards supported memory standard is DDR3 2600(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066...

Thanks Bennet,
Sorry for the noob question.

Solution
The F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR should work fine, simply use the XMP setting and Profile 1 in the BIOS. For most folks I recommend DDR3-1600 CAS 9-9-9-24 @ 1.50; there's no real world advantage going any faster and the faster frequency kits are more prone to errors and causing BSOD's.

As of now my favorite two low-profile and black kits are:
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (9-9-9-24 @ 1.50v) Model 996995 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226191

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (9-9-9-24 @ 1.50v) D Model 993995 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226272
