I thought I'd start a thread about what we learned today about the uber
trio. Feel free to add your own input, corrections, strategy, etc.
The level contains an uber-meph, uber-baal, and uber-diablo.
with them are the following creatures:
Megademon. quintuple immune. only can be harmed with physical damage.
Vampires. PI
Skeletons. Includes pretty much every kind. melee & mage.
Town portal is disabled on the level. The original red portal that you
make is the only one you get.
All 3 uber-bosses make new monsters. They aren't revived. They are new
monsters. So things like nature's peace don't keep them from reeappearing.
Uber-diablo makes the balrogs appear I'm guessing. When Diablo and Baal
were dead no more appeared. D seems similar to the balrogs so makes
sense that it's him.
Baal makes the vampires appear. Again, none appeared when he was dead.
Meph makes skeletons appear.
I've noticed that when chased by meph, the skeletons pop up like weeds
wherever he roams. But, proximity to meph doesn't seem to be required
for them to pop up. They still appear far away but at much slower rate.
When I actually manage to stand on meph's toes for a few seconds, I
didn't notice skeletons being created very much. I'm not sure about
this though. Lots of people were in the area killing things. Plus I was
sorta busy at the time .
Uber-bosses are not effected by 'prevent monster heal' items. I was
wearing nature's peace and they still healed. Someone in the game said
it was helping slow the healing. I didn't really notice a difference though.
Uber-meph has conviction. I have one point in salvation. +5 skills
brought it to level 6 for 88 resist. This was enough to bring me back
to max resists again.
That's it for now.
I'll add things on if I think of more. As will others I'm sure
~Demigodess~
P.S. thanks for all the effort of the people who attempted this.
sorry I can't list you all here but there were so many people going in
and out with diffferent characters, that I couldn't keep track of who
was there or not.
