The Router connected to my Desktop System is in the next room (Room A). I'm trying to connect wirelessly from the desktop in Room B The message says that I am not connected to the internet and to plug in the Ethernet Cable. That's the message no matter what I do.

Any Clues?

Thanks jsmithepa: Actually I have a TP-LINK card, 450 Mbps Dual Band PCI Express installed in the slot.
I also tried a NetDyn 300m USB Adapter 2.4GHZ I had lying around.

When I click on available connections, I see the Broadband Connection is available. When I click CONNECT, the message eventually comes up that I am connecting through WAN Miniport (PPPOE) and eventually ERROR 651 comes up with a fix being connect an Ethernet cable.

Yikes!
