Question The sound on my pc doesn't seem to work

Hello, ive been trying to get my audio to work for a while now,
i have a B450 tomahawk motherboard and i'm using logitech z607 5.1 speakers.
The problem is that when i try and use rca to aux to connect my speakers to my pc it is recognised and my pc asks me what i just plugged in and i tell it what everything is from front to rear and the sub/centre too.
however even though its connected and my pc thinks everything is fine no sound is played, i tried using normal headphones connected to my pc and even that didn't work, however they did work when i connected them to my monitor
Can you please help me ive tried everything

If audio works through your monitor then most likely the device connecting to the monitor has been set to the default audio source in playback devices. Windows doesn't play multiple audio devices simultaneously, it's one or the other.

Find audio playback devices in Windows and set speakers to default. Speakers is the motherboard audio device.

I have changed the default audio device but still nothing,

Do you still get audio from the monitor?

How is the monitor connected?

i do get audio from my monitor when i set it to default, my monitor is connected through display port

what does work is if i connect my speakers via aux directly to my monitor but i don't get true 5.1,
no aux port works on my pc, whenever i connect something via aux i get the same static noise that comes and goes from left to right. however my pc does recognise that something is connected i just doesn't play it back.

Didn't know you knew how to set audio device.

Try reinstall chipset and audio drivers from Msi and reboot.

Audio isn't usually difficult to deal with if not faulty.

I tried that again just to see if it might work, but so far I've done that 3 times now and still nothing
