Question The sounds that my PC creates are being directly registered as mic input, causing actual microphones to not work

As the title says. It's not the mic just picking it up, it's directly being put it in to the mic input. Like it just captures it exactly. It fun for voice chats, but I'd really like to be able to actually talk. I have no idea what component/software could be causing this, so that's why im posting this here.
-Not a mic issue, the mic works on all other devices
-Not a driver issue, just updated them
-Not a privacy issue, mic and webcam permissions are all enabled

Im just absolutely stumped to be honest.

some additonal details:
-tried all 3.5mm jacks on my computer, still nope
-the sound device that records the pc output is called "stereo mix" and it has a picture of a motherboard or something next to it
