Today I made up a list of the songs that, if I could burn a CD, would go
on my first mix disc to play during a Mage game. I think I'd need some
kind of uber-CD that doesn't currently exist to fit them all on one
disc, so it's a good thing this is all hypothetical. My sole rule was
that I could only choose one song from any particular group.
And so, in no particular order:
1. Kermit the Frog, "The Rainbow Connection"
2. Simon and Garfunkel, "A Simple Desultory Philippic"
3. The Reverend Horton Heat, "Revolution Underfoot"
4. Edvard Grieg, "In the Hall of the Mountain King"
5. The Doors, "The Wasp"
6. Jimi Hendrix, "All Along the Watchtower"
7. The Who, "Baba O'Reilly"
8. Jethro Tull, "Skating Away on Thin Ice of the New Day"
9. Cream, "Tales of Brave Ulysses"
10. Santana, "Evil Ways"
11. The Tragically Hip, "Ahead by a Century"
12. The Grateful Dead, "St. Stephen"
13. Less Than Jake, "Scott Farcas Takes It on the Chin"
14. Strangefolk, "Things That Fly"
15. Phish, "The Story of the Ghost"
16. The Warm Guns, "The Taoist Wheel"
17. Bob Dylan, "Shelter from the Storm"
18. Atom and His Package, "Anarchy Means I Litter"
19. The Beatles, "Dear Prudence"
20. The Blues Brothers, "She Caught the Katy"
21. Stevie Wonder, "Superstition"
22. Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Run Through the Jungle"
23. Johnny Cash, "The Man Comes Around"
24. Led Zeppelin, "What Is and What Will Never Be"
25. Sarah Maclachlan, "Building a Mystery"
26. The Talking Heads, "And She Was"
