Around a bit, though intermittent due to work and life issues.
nice little spike in production, but likely short lived due to time and money being redirected to other house projects..
hope to be more consistent and perhaps add a machine or two soon.

ANY IDEAS?????

Hmm, does sound like you are having some intermittent strange internet issues, however they have been moving a lot of servers around, so I would not rule out an issue on their end. Just to do a quick connectivity check, can you run tracert cores.foldingathome.org (or "traceroute ..." from Linux or MacOS)?

Edit: I have been having a lot of issues with very slow or hung GPU WU uploads.

Thanks for the help.
I checked the F@H forum threads, and other people are having the same problems.
I manually downloaded the Core 21file and inserted it.
Made special rules in my router, windows firewall and Malwarebytes.
Updated all of my drivers again, and rebooted , got a work unit and has folded a few during the night.
Not sure if I fixed it or they did ,but I'm folding again.
Thanks again
Rick

Thanks EXT64. I see I'm number 1 on the team now. I know I haven't been around here much, but I've kept on Folding. I've been in various hospitals a lot for months now as my MS flared up and when I'm out of a hospital, I'm taking more drugs than I'd like in order to treat it. I've kept the computers running when I'm gone. I've had two computers fail. They are old, so its no surprise that they finally died. I'll probably rebuild one of them this winter if I have the spare money, time, and energy.

Sorry to hear that, I hope you have a quick recovery. This thread has been silent, anyone still have notifications on? I did pickup a couple used 1070s now that the effects of the crypto crash have finally been felt.

I just checked and saw that the notifications had turned off for some reason. So I turned it on again. I also noticed that you have passed me and are now number 1 again. Congratulations on that.

Unfortunately, MS is incurable, so there will never be a complete recovery. For now, I'm in remission and hope to stay there for a few years. A couple weeks ago I made the transition from a hand powered wheelchair to one with an electric motor. Haven't gotten used to it yet. It isn't the typical electric chair, but my old chair with an electric motor attached to the rear wheels. I have to say that its really weird, but in time, I'll master it.

If anyone is still interested in having a dedicated section for F@H (or any kind of distributed computing project I guess) now is probably a good time to request it. We won't be able to add any new sections just yet as we're still fixing post-migration issues, but once that's done I believe a revamp of the current categories is planned. Adding new sections is now entirely a "business" decision, not a "can we bribe the development team to take on a 4 month project to add another category?" decision. That doesn't mean we will get one, as there may not be enough interest or traffic to justify it, but at least it's now possible.

Great, a few people still around.

Nothing super exciting f@h wise recently. Got a Radeon VII, it runs great on f@h large GPU units. The very small (low atom counts) run poorly.

Also have a Xeon Phi 7250. Does OK folding, but really shines if you can tweak the code to its specific AVX512 implementation (so better for boinc and open source).

Otherwise accumulating a lot of CPU rigs for boinc and mostly running an assortment of GPUs for f@h.

So I forgot to post here about it but I've been folding for Tom's for over 2 years on my Server (see signature)

Oh and the user above who just " joined" was a spammer and is banned.

Still here as well. Did not realize the forum notices got mucked during the transition, will have to turn that back on. Still chilly enough here to keep my winter folder going for a few weeks yet
