Er.. why exactly do they make giant keys? There can't be that much call for giant keyboards, or did someone find a market for them after climbing a beanstalk?

The whole reason the giant keys exist is in the name of the company that makes them: NovelKeys
They're basically a gag-gift or something of that nature. I think they're ridiculous but interesting at the same time. Think of them like those big red push buttons you see in TV tropes (and once in a Staples ad as an "Easy" button).

Yeah, don't over think it. ;) It's just a fun, silly, cool thing. People have wired them up to all kind of things and used them as "switches". It's neat that Razer used them like this. NovelKeys just deserved a shoutout for it.
