Hello to all.

The "turbo" function of a AMD A8-6500 works like these old turbo buttons found on many computers of the late 80's and early 90's?.

I'm wondering, it's as easy as changing the respective function in the BIOS? it will not have any sort of impact on the remaining devices of the system?. also, it will surpass the 65W rated TDP if you use the turbo function, or it will use 65W whatever the speed be?.

Many thanks.

Solution
I would look in the bios for the settings, the fx cpu are in the bios, 65w is for stock, turbo is pretty much a optional factory overclock, overclock requires more power

This is what I wanted to know, many thanks for the response; I will pick your response as the solution.
