the upgrade doesnt want to download

so i tryed to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 10 and it just doesnt want to download ... i let it on for about 3 hours and it does nothing it just says "download started"

will this be a fresh install or will i still have all of my data

If you chose the upgrade this pc option, it will keep all your stuff and install win 10

if you chose to make a USB or DVD you can run it from within win 7 and it will just upgrade you to win 10 and you keep everything.
