So, the age old, Need a new system situation.
Currently i have an I7 8700k, 64gb DDR4 ram 2133mhz i think its GSkill, the PC isnt here so this is from memory.
I have a 4080super that i want to move over. ChatGPT gave me a Intel Core i9-14900KF... but its been 8 years since i looked for a new pc so i 0 knowledge of the market these days.
Approximate Purchase Date: within 4 weeks
Budget Range: £2,500
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, i do alot of AI art work, im a writer so i use it for concept designs, Some video editing.
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: Basically just CPU motherboard, and ram really, bigger case than my Coolermaster Storm Trooper and some good fans would be nice (idk if noctua are the best quiet fans anymore...) . Everything else i can get at a later date. I have a perfectly fine 1000W PSU.
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Anything UK based really...

Parts Preferences: I only run Intel these, the rest i don't, if possible, little to no RGB.

SLI or Crossfire: NO
Your Monitor Resolution: 3x 27" 2560x1440
Additional Comments: Quiet pc if possible, doesnt need to silent though. It sits behind my screens so no one ever sees it.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My old rig is nearly 8 years old and is currently in the shop as either the CPU or motherboard or both have failed, tried to get a new board, now giving CPU errors, and i cant find a new 17 8700k, and i dont want to buy a second hand CPU from facebook or ebay... im just looking at what i can actually upgrade to if i made the jump.
