Yes
For the past 2 yrs i had same cpu but with 1050ti 4g
I was playing at a very respectable frame rate and preformance
Just make sure you have the latest drivers
And updates
Also i believe you can pair it with gtx1060
Without any problems

I'm assuming you're talking gaming?
The 3470 could probably pair with a little bit stronger of a GPU, but it's a decent pairing, generally speaking.

The other components (RAM, mainly), the games you play & the resolution you play at would be useful to help give you a more definitive answer.
