there is no setting for start screen in my newly installed 8.1.how to fix it?

i have updated my pc with 8.1 from stores.
i am not able to change my start screen as there is no option for changing it.
tried all the possible ways,but still unable to fix it.
please help me out.

What are you looking to change on it?
Right click on the Taskbar
Select Properties
Select Navigation
Multiple options there to select or deselect
