There's no sound coming from PC?

I have the PC hooked up to my monitor (through DVI) which is hooked up to my speakers. There's no sound coming from my speakers. I need the speakers for my PS4 too and the sound works when I'm on my PS4. But it doesn't work when using my PC. I have a sound driver installed, it's the "High Definition Audio Device" if that helps. Since my PS4 is hooked up to my monitor through HDMI, will the sound work on it if I plug my speakers are plugged into my PC? I mean, I heard sound works through HDMI anyways

DVI cables are strictly video, they carry no audio. If you want to use the speakers, you'll have to plug them directly into the PC, or use an HDMI cable.

DVI does not carry audio signal. HDMI does. If you want to utilize both for video/audio, you will need and HDMI switch box (either a manual button to switch or some are "auto-switching"). Here is an example:
