Question Thermal compound on CPU pin

I managed to get a tiny bit of thermal compound on one of the pins, underneath the CPU ( barely visible ). As it was so little and was not effecting the placement of the CPU into the motherboard, I decided to put it in anyways. Now thinking about it I feel I might of made a mistake. Have I?

I would not worry about it now...any tiny transfer from the pin into the socket has already occurred, so, concern, over it now , even if largely unwarranted, is perhaps a waste of time, as it would be practically impossible to safely remove from within the socket's mating receptacle(s)....

Hello, if it is just a tiny amount then hopefully probably won’t hurt anything but if it covers many pins might want to try and clean It up possibly. Do what you want man I’m not a pro just a kid.

At this point you can not fix the issue as the thermal paste is already in the socket. You might as well turn the computer on and see what happens.

What was the thermal paste ? Brand/Model?

Some thermal paste are non-conductive, so if you have one of those then no problem.

I am using the thermal paste that comes with the wraith prism cooler. Is that one non-conductive

Sadly the answer is: it may be, it may be not.

Far as I remember it shouldn't be but, Who knows if AMD kept using the same thermal paste all the time?, Well not AMD but the factory that actually makes the stock cooler (aka Cooler Master).

how can I tell if my CPU is damaged? Will the screen turn blank when i turn my pc on? Or will my pc not turn on at all?
