i recently bought a gc electronics heat sink compound i was wondering if it would be good for cpu's heat transfer. and which would be better? the clear thermal compound or the silver.

looks like junk

expensive thermal compound is percisely size particles - some hardens quick (mx-2) some hardens slow (artic)

all designed for cpu's and maximu thermal transfer

this is not what you want - what it is for i do not know? space? 1 mile underwater or both? who knows

first off zinc? thermal compound used different shaped particales and highly conductive particles and metal.

silicone and zinc is not going to be as good as aritic silver or super fine alumnina or boran carbide or mix

per the manufacture site: "Industry standard zinc oxide filled silicone heat sink
grease for most applications. Will not soften at elevated
temperatures or dry out or harden. Meets Mil. Spec"

i would say this is for super high temps probably 300-500f for heat sinks on miltary equipent in the desert

on a radio lets say to cool mosfets in 150 f engine bay in the desert or somthing this is not cpu compound
