Thermal Margin >66c Normal?

So according to others (ex.) the thermal margin is the max temp minus the current temp. According to AMD OverDrive my thermal margin is 66c. Is this right? That seems like a lot of wiggle room. Most examples I've seen are a thermal margin of 7-10c so I was expecting a much lower number.

I may be wrong but I understood the thermal margin to be the difference between the actual temperature and the maximum permissable temperature.

what is the ACTUAL temp? That's what really matters. max on those is around 70C so unless your in a freezer the margin is most likely wrong or you're reading it wrong.

Yeah
I took him to mean the maximum temperature that he had measured (ie under full load) and the current temp.
Whereas I think the thermal margin is the maximum permissable temperature of the cpu (approx 70 C) and the current temperature.

the Actual temp is running around 35C so I suppose this thermal margin is possible?
