Thermal Pad on corsair vengeance lpx

Hello,
I will be painting my Red corsair vengeance lpx black and white, so I was going to dismantle it, but now I don't know which thermal tape should I use to replace the original ones. Please help me out thanks you.
Also what is the difference between thermal pad and thermal tape.

Don't paint over the heatsink! Just get new memory in the color you want, painting over the heatsink can cause some models to overheat

I just got these, I would love to get new vengeance led ram modules, but I probably cannot sell this off for the amount I want hence not being able to afford new ones.
