Question Thermal paste cleaning

Hello, so i am thinking about changing my cpu cooler, and I have a few questions about the thermal paste cleaning process, I knoe youre supposed to use isopropyl alcohol to clean off any remaining residue, but i dont know where to find that where i live, Is there going to be a issue if i just clean the cpu using paper towels, q tips etc without the alcohol?

Will that small amount of residue be bad for my cpu, or are there any alternatives?
The only alcohol we have here that i can think of has a blue color and im afraid that will leave residue behind.

I don't know where you live, but you can get isopropyl alcohol in virtually any "drug store" in North America or maybe the world?

I would not get highly obsessive over it. People have used mayonnaise for thermal paste. Do the best you can.

I usually just use some tissue and some dry cotton bud.
